Study MPharm in the UK

Interested in becoming a pharmacist? The Masters of Pharmacy (MPharm) is the degree course you would study in the UK. The course provides students with knowledge and understanding of the chemistry and pharmacology of medicines, as well as the biology, pathology, and diagnosis of disease.
The MPharm degree is a four-year course in all 31 UK universities, and a few universities offer a five-year duration, including a sandwich year in industry. These courses are quality assured by General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), the independent regulator of the pharmacy profession in the UK.

Entry requirements

Many top UK universities welcome Pharmacy applications from students from Kuwait.

Kuwaiti High School graduates with Shahada thanawiya cannot apply for direct entry into undergraduate Pharmacy courses without completing a suitable foundation program, such as Kaplan foundation pathways. Becoming Registered Pharmacist in the UK

After completing an MPharm degree course, international students can work as pharmacists in the UK. In this case, the student must take a national registration exam set by the General Pharmaceutical Council GPhC. Before that, the student must undergo 52 weeks of supervised pre-registration training in clinical practice.

Students enrolled in full-time degree programs can work up to 20 hours in their university term time per week and full-time during their vacation period.
