Supporting documents

The supporting documents listed below are the most common requirements from international students seeking admission to a degree program at Universities in the UK. Your application is not complete until all supporting documentation has been received:

All applicants

  • Financial Guarantee (for students in a scholarship program)
  • Proof of English proficiency by one of the following:
    • IELTS score
    • PTE-A ( Some universities only accept PTE-A)
  • passport identification page – scan or photocopy
  • Copy of student visa (if currently studying or have studies in the UK)

Undergraduate applicants

  • Copy of high school graduation certificate, if available at the time of your application
  • Written recommendation by a teacher or academic staff
  • Personal Statement (300 words introducing yourself) (Not required for Foundation students)

Graduate applicants

  • Copy of entire undergraduate transcript and degree certificate
  • 2 or 3 written recommendations by an employer or academic source
  • Personal statement of intent (a description of your future job or career plans)
    Resume or CV (specifically required for MBA)

Note that you will submit copy of all documents for UK admission

How to send your documents

If any documents are not in English, they must be accompanied by an English translation. The English translation should be certified by a translation agency.

  • some universities require that a hard-copy transcript is sent directly from your high school
  • copy of high school graduation certificate, if available at the time of your application
  • written recommendation by a teacher or academic staff
  • Personal Statement (300 words introducing yourself to the university community)

Graduate applicants

  • official copy of entire undergraduate transcript
  • Some universities require a professional evaluation of your undergraduate grades:
  • 2 or 3 written recommendations by an employer or academic source
  • personal statement of intent (500-1,000 words including a description of your future job or career plans)
  • Resume or CV (specifically required for MBA)

Transfer applicants

  • official undergraduate record
  • If transferring after one year of university, submit high school transcript in addition to first year university transcript
  • If transferring after second or third year, submit university transcript onlyIf you are seeking transfer credits, catalog course descriptions are required and must accompany your applicationNote that you will first submit all the document by email to JnS.
